AN inquest has opened into the death of a teenager from Harwich.
Jack Mitchell, 15, died on March 13, this year in Colchester Hospital.
Jack was a wheelchair user, having suffered traumatic injuries when he was a baby.
The inquest into his death was opened at Essex Coroner’s Court in Chelmsford yesterday.
Coroner’s officer Jonathan Hall told the court that Jack had been admitted to hospital before his death, and despite treatment from doctors, he sadly passed away.
A provisional cause of death has been identified as bronco pneumonia and head injuries associated with the incidents earlier in his life.
Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray adjourned the inquest until December 18.
