POLICE are appealing for information in relation to a fist fight in the middle of traffic.

The road related disturbance in Colchester happened on Monday (April 15).

A police spokesman said: “We received reports of an argument between the occupants of a grey Audi A3 and a white BMW M3 close to McDonald’s in Cowdray Avenue at around 4pm.

“The vehicles travelled to Colne Bank Avenue before both drivers stopped in traffic and got out of their vehicles.

“The driver of the BMW reported he was assaulted by the other driver by being punched in the face.

“He reported the occupants of two black Fiestas also stopped, got out of their vehicles and assaulted him and damaged his car.

“We also received a call from the Audi A3 driver reporting that he, along with his two passengers, were being threatened and intimidated ahead of the alleged assault.”
