THE theft of Heybridge’s community defibrillator from the Plantation Hall is beyond despicable.
There are some things which are stolen for their value in money.
However, this theft makes no sense whatsoever.
The community relies on this resource being readily available when someone’s life is in danger.
This is like stealing a safety net or a fire extinguisher or a life-ring.
What is there to gain by depriving someone – in a life or death situation – of this vital equipment?
This act of senselessness is almost beyond belief.
