The man taken into custody today, who is from Braintree, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following a stabbing in Bury St Edmunds back on October 25.

A man was reportedly stabbed during an altercation with a group of four or five males in the car park outside The Moreton Hall pub in Lawson Place.

Suffolk Police have arrested and quizzed four other men in connection with the incident but no one has yet been charged.

Detictives believe the stabbing was a targeted attack.
