A WOMAN suffered cuts to her neck after being attacked after an argument on a night out.
Detectives have launched an investigation after the woman was hurt just after 2am on Sunday morning in a private function room above Silk Road in St Botolph's Street, Colchester.
Fortunately, her injuries are not thought to be serious.
Bar owner Osman Rasih said the event was shut down immediately after the incident and the injuries came during a scuffle between two women.
He confirmed he and his staff were co-operating fully with the police investigation.
No arrests have been made.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It was reported that a woman attacked the victim following an argument.
"Inquiries are ongoing to establish what happened.
"Anyone with information is asked to call Colchester police station on 101 quoting crime reference 42/189963/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
