A SHOCKING picture has revealed one car on top of another after a crash on the A12.
Emergency services were called to the road close to Capel St Mary, on the Colchester-bound carriageway, shortly before 9am on Monday.
Police closed one lane of the road in order to investigate what had happened.

The smash involved a Toyota Hilux, a Ford Fiesta, a Landrover Discovery, a Kia Rio and a BMW 420i.
One passerby captured a picture of the Landrover on top of one of the other vehicles.
Fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt.
