Keep sewing: Angela making scrubs for local NHS staff
A ROTARY club member is busy making scrubs for hospital staff with her sewing machine.
Angela Henesy, of the Manningtree Rotary Club, heard of the shortage of scrubs in local hospitals and signed up to the Love of Scrubs campaign to make them for NHS staff.
Angela has taken delivery of the official patterns and now has the special fabric.
She says she is now working full speed ahead on these scrubs for the NHS.
The first rolls of the fabric were paid for by some club members who are not meeting for the duration of the lockdown who donated amounts of money they had not spent on their meals.
Angela has also been fundraising herself and thanks made by friends and even strangers for their donations.
