A SOCIETY has published a Christmas quiz for readers of the Standard.

As the Harwich Society monthly quiz night has not been able to take place in the Royal Oak, in Dovercourt, since March, the society’s quiz team has been creating a 50-question version each month on its social media sites.

Last week would have marked the annual festive quiz, written each year by Alison Calver.

As the quiz group could not gather together this year, the society has decided to share its Christmas quiz with our readers.

Chairman Colin Farnell said: “Anyone who has seen our quizmaster, Colin Perry, dressed as the Christmas fairy will understand how special this evening is and the Harwich Society’s Christmas Quiz is the latest in a long line of wonderful local events that have been prevented by this terrible pandemic.

“We hope that the Standard’s readers enjoy the quiz and perhaps will join us in person when this is all over and we can all quiz together again.”
