COVID cases in five parts of the Braintree district have now dropped to almost zero, new figures reveal.

A map, compiled using Government data, shows the number of Covid cases in each part of Braintree and Witham.

According to the data the number of cases in five parts of the district have dropped below three, as of the week to March 2.

This means the virus is classed as "suppressed" in each of these parts of the district.

They have also been moved into the lowest category on the Government's Covid hotspots map.

The highest number of cases is in Braintree West and Rayne where the infection rate stands at 101.6 and eight cases have been recorded.

Coggeshall and Kelvedon- 10

Braintree West and Rayne- 8

Silver End and Stisted- 6

Bocking Churchstreet and Blackwater- 5

North Witham- 5

Flitch Green, Felsted and High Easter- 5

Witham South, Hatfield Peverel and White Notley-3

Great Dunmow- 3

Panfield, Finchingfield and Bardfield- less than 3

Great Leighs & the Walthams- less than 3

West Witham- less than 3

Witham Town- less than 3

Bocking- less than 3
