POLICE officers managed to chase down an a suspect after they crashed their car and escaped on foot.
The driver of a grey Ford Fiesta failed to stop for officers of Maldon’s police team.
The car then sped away before crashing into a ditch, and the driver got out and tried to escape on foot before being caught.
Driver of this fiesta failed to stop for @EPMaldon officers yesterday, then crashed their car and ran from us. They were uninsured, had no licence and had drugs in their possession. It was discovered the driver was uninsured, had no license, and had drugs on their possession.
The officers, working with the National Police Air Service’s south east region and the Essex Police dog section, managed to arrest the driver on a string of offences.
