A MAN was rushed to hospital after collapsing in a busy high street.
Emergency services rushed to Billericay High Street and a police cordon was spotted yesterday morning.
Witnesses said a man was being treated by medics outside a charity store.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: We assisted Ambulance Service colleagues following reports of a medical emergency on Billericay High Street around 8am this morning.”

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called yesterday at 7.52am with reports of a man who had collapsed on High Street, Billericay.
“We sent a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer, two ambulance crews and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
“One person was taken to Basildon Hospital for further care.”
