POLICE have revealed for the first time that a second man was injured in a brutal attack which left another man dead.

Asqeri Spaho, 25, died as a result of stab wounds in Tintern Avenue, Westcliff, at 4.25am on December 12.

Until now, police had not revealed a second man had also been badly injured in the attack and was treated for a stab wound to this stomach.

He was rushed to hospital by two Good Samaritans who Essex Police had yesterday urgently appealed to find using a CCTV image.

The pair have since come forward.

The stab victim has since been discharged from hospital and is receiving.

Detective Inspector Greg Wood, of the Serious Crime Directorate, said: “We are now in a position to confirm that another man was attacked within the property and we really need to locate two people who took him to hospital for treatment. We had to put the welfare of this man first.”

As part of the ongoing murder probe, two 21-year-old men from Islington have been arrested and released on bail until Tuesday March 18.

One of the men was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and driving without insurance.

The other was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Police also arrested a 31-year-old man from Tottenham on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and possession of Class A drugs.

He has been released on bail until Thursday March 24.

A 27-year-old from Enfield arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and possession of drugs and he has been released on bail until Friday January 24.
