BOSSES behind our top soft play centres and casinos are among those celebrating news they can finally fling back open their doors to customers.

The Government announced on Thursday that casinos, bowling alleys, skating rinks and soft play centres will be allowed to reopen.

Indoor theatre, music and performance venues will also be able to reopen with socially distanced audiences.

Sarah Walby, 47, one of owners of Stay and Play, Durham Road, Laindon, said she is so exicited to be able to welcome back families and parents are already queueing to book play sessions and parties.

She said: "We opened on Monday August 10 just for food but we are hoping to open very soon following the Government's announcement.

"We are still working on the details of how it'll all work and our safety plans and measures as it came out late on Thursday night.

"We will have a track and trace system and an additional cleaning and sterilisation regimes in place.

"We've also got a maintaince team checking the play equipment as we've been closed for so long.

"We are over the moon and couldn't sleep on Thursday as we're so excitied and pleased to be opening.

"We hope we can take more staff off the furlough scheme - we are a family business but will need to bring more staff back."
