Since 2006, David Tudor, our local rector, has given a huge number of Canvey’s population a real sense of community spirit and spiritual awareness.
Many of us deeply feel his absence and a sense of outrage that he is being persecuted this way, as, still after seventeen months there is no charge against him – and yet he is still suspended by the Bishop of Chelmsford.
This is not justice and this is not Christian to condemn someone in this manner. Many Canvey people continue to be outraged and deeply upset about his suspension and, like Ray Howard, deem it to be an “outrageous” state of affairs.
