A probe has been launched after a sign was thrown at a marked police car.
The vehicle, which was parked outside Rayleigh Police Station at the time, had it's windscreen smashed and meant the car had to be taken off the road for repair.
This, along with the damage - which was caused around 4.35am on September 17 - affected the team's ability to respond to emergencies.
Essex Police are now keen to speak with the two people pictured, and are appealing to them or anybody who can help identify them, to make contact.
A spokesperson from the force, said: "If you do have any information, please contact us on 101 or alternatively, by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting Investigation 42/149021/20."
