A front door was smashed down during a dramatic police drugs raid at a home.

Officers forced their way into the property in Rayleigh and say a man and woman were arrested.

A quantity of drugs, associated paraphernalia linked to drug cultivation, and cash was seized.

A spokesman for Rochford Policing Team said: "A quantity of drugs, associated paraphernalia linked to drug cultivation, and cash was seized.

"A male, aged 31 years and a female, aged 26 years were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and are currently awaiting interview.

"Every piece of intelligence we receive is assessed and recorded on our database to support warrant applications such as this."

They urged residents to keep reporting suspicious activity and incident to the force.
