TEN Harwich, Dovercourt and Parkeston Swimming Club members competed in the Essex Age Group Championships at the London Aquatic Centre.
It came after they achieved Essex qualifying times at open swimming events over the past year and swimmers ranging in age from 12 to 20 competed in freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly races in the impressive 50-metre Olympic Pool.
Joshua Herbert made the finals in both the 50m freestyle and butterfly, placing eighth and tenth respectively in the 16-year-old category.
There was fantastic support from friends and parents, as well as coaches and mentors Clare Adcroft and Caryn Herbert.
