CHASE Lane Primary School were victorious at an annual girls' football tournament at Little Oakley.
Their team played fantastically well in each of their six games, winning five and drawing one.
Wix deservedly finished the tournament as runners-up, with the Two Village goalkeeper being awarded player-of-the-tournament.
"Over the years, the tournament has always been brilliantly organised and run by Paul Bertram and Elaine Rumsby but this was Paul's last event in Harwich as he moves on to pastures new," said Chase Lane teacher Lee Barrett.
"We wish him all the very best and sincerely thank him for his efforts in promoting sport in the area."
