HOLLAND FC chairman Mark Sorrell is confident his on-song side can give table-toppers Hashtag United a "run for their money" in Saturday's showdown at the W&S Scaffolding Community Stadium.

The sides are set to do battle in a Thurlow Nunn League first division contest (kick-off 3pm) with the visitors top of the table with nine wins from their 13 matches.

They are a point clear of second-placed Halstead Town and will be keen to stretch their lead with another victory at Eastcliff.

However, fourth-placed Holland have other ideas and head into the clash on the back of an impressive run of results, most recently Saturday's 3-2 success at Fire United.

"We're really looking forward to this weekend's game," said Sorrell.

"Hashtag have made a great start to the season and come to us as the league leaders.

"But we've been happy with our own form of late.

"We're only seven points behind them with two games in hand and we've only lost once at our new home ground, when we had an off-night against Wivenhoe.

"It's been really encouraging and we fully expect to give Hashtag a run for their money on Saturday.

"It should be a really good, tight game."

All the goals came in the second half against Fire.

Steve Eaton scored twice and he was joined on the scoresheet by Chris Ribchester.

It was Holland's third win in a row and their fourth in five matches, including a League Challenge Cup success against Felixstowe and Walton United Reserves.

Holland have another home game on Tuesday, when they entertain Halstead Town in the League Cup.
