HARWICH Boxing Club made the short hop to Colchester with two of their juniors in action at St Benedicts School.
Sixteen-year-old Jack Farrow faced the challenge of Halstead ABC's Finlay Marven, over the three-round duration.
Marven started fast and strong as Farrow weathered a mini-storm in the opening minute.
From there on, Farrow settled and let his boxing skills take hold of the contest.
Neat counter-punching, good movement and well-timed combination punches put him in front in a well-received contest.
A deserved unanimous points win went the way of the Harwich boxer.
Cameron Walker took on Lewis Mayer, from the Chadwell St Mary Club.
After a very close bout, the 13-year-old just dipped out on a close points decision.
A rematch is being sorted for the annual Harwich Boxing Club show at the town's Park Pavilion on December 8.
