THE sun shone for the ladies' last major event of the year at Harwich and Dovercourt Golf Club.
The Autumn Meeting - a fun Texas Scramble team competition - resulted in Kris Matthews, Chris Bradford and Anne Myers winning with a score of 72.5.
Sue Keen, Glynis Hutchence and Carol Wrayton were the runners-up with a score of 75.5.
Nearest the pin was won by Chris Bradford and hitting a drive nearest the line was Georgie Grout.
The playing ladies were joined by past members for dinner, after which lady captain Kate Fender presented the prizes. It was an excellent finale to another good year.
In the latest vets' game against Gosfield, the result was a 4-4 draw while in the October Midweek Medal the winners were Jamie King (division one), with a nett score of 65, and William Brown (division two), with a nett score of 76.
