HARWICH and Dovercourt Rugby Club's under-13, under-15 and under-18 girls joined forces with Mistley Rugby Club at the first Eastern Counties Festival of the season, on Sunday.
The idea of the festivals is to promote player development and provide good, competitive matches across the board.
Clubs work together to ensure there’s an opportunity for all teams to compete, whether big or small.
The teams across all age groups were challenged by the high standard on show but rose to it and played some great rugby of their own during the day.
The whole group across both clubs is full of talented players and they are proving themselves to be a match for anybody.
Any girls looking to try rugby will be welcomed at both clubs, whatever level of rugby experience, and they have the same opportunity to play as the boys, with fixtures throughout the season and weekly coaching sessions.
