THERE was a feast of goals for supporters as Harwich and Parkeston continued their climb up the Thurlow Nunn League first division south table with a 6-3 win over Cornard United, writes TERRY FRANCIS.

The Shrimpers took the lead when Joe Knight headed home Reece Harte's excellent cross.

And they were celebrating again when once more Knight's prowess in the air saw him score when he converted Gareth Heath's corner with a header at the near post.

Cornard came back to reduce the arrears, taking advantage of slack defending but the Shrimpers opened up a two-goal gap again with a good shot from Jay Eggerichs.

Cornard again found space in the home defence with a header from inside the six-yard box reducing Harwich's half-time lead to 3-2.

Knight remained a threat with another header that was inches past the post.

Harwich were without injured goalkeeper Brad Cook and were grateful to Glen Morrison who stepped in to the breach but he was unable to hold on to a cross and Cornard equalised.

It now looked that victory was up for grabs but skipper Heath steadied the Shrimpers ship with two goals.

He first latched on to a through ball from Shaun Kioussis to net with a cool finish and then gave a repeat performance, this time converting Knight's cross.

Harwich were home and dry now and substitute Findley Caro iced the cake by speeding through to plant the ball in the corner of the net for goal number six.
