Colchester United midfielder Brandon Comley made his international debut as his Montserrat side were beaten 2-1 by El Salvador last night.
The 22-year-old travelled to the Caribbean island to represent them in their CONCACAF Nations League home qualifier, on Saturday night.
Montserrat took the lead through Joseph Taylor but El Salvador recovered to claim victory.
Comley, qualifies to play for the country through his grandfather, missed Colchester's 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers yesterday because of his international call-up.
He will be available again for the U's home clash with Cambridge United, next weekend.
