COLCHESTER United forward Jevani Brown has joined their League Two rivals Forest Green Rovers on loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has linked up with the Gloucestershire side and is expected to be in their squad for their game against Crawley Town today.

Brown has found opportunities few and far between since joining Colchester on a two-year deal from Cambridge United in the summer.

He has made 17 appearances for the U's but half of them have been as a substitute and he has made only five league starts.

Meanwhile, Brendan Wiredu has returned to Charlton Athletic following the completion of his loan spell with Colchester.

The 20-year-old joined the U's on loan at the start of September, making his debut in their Leasing.com Trophy game at Gillingham.

Wiredu made a total of ten appearances for the U's.
