COLCHESTER United's JobServe Community Stadium is set to host another England match.

Keith Downing’s under-20s are heading to north Essex for a game against Germany on Monday, March 30.

Colchester last hosted an England team in 2018, when the under-20s beat Germany 2-0.

Prior to that, England's women’s team ran out 5-0 winners against Kazakhstan at the stadium in November 2017.

There was a sell-out crowd on both occasions.

Downing said: “We’re really pleased to be taking another England team back to Colchester.

"It’s a fantastic stadium and the supporters there always turn up in big numbers, which really pushes on the players.

“This match will provide a real challenge for us, performing in front of a big home crowd and the pressure and expectation that brings.

"Germany are obviously always top opposition at any level and they continue to produce very good individuals and teams.

“The ten days will be a proper test for the players as they look to build on this season so far and hopefully get themselves in contention for selection for the under-21s squad.”

The game will kick-off at 7pm and tickets are now on sale, priced at £1 for children and concessions and £5 for adults.

Group booking and charter standard discounts apply.

Tickets are on sale via www.colutickets.com, by calling 01206 755161 from 10am until 3pm Monday to Friday or in person at the club’s ticket office from 10am until 2pm (Monday to Friday).
