COLCHESTER United have had no positive Covid-19 cases among their players and staff, following the latest round of testing.
It is good news for Steve Ball and his squad, as they prepare for their forthcoming game at Morecambe in League Two, this weekend.
The EFL have today confirmed that 32 positive tests were received from a total of 4,598 players and club staff from all 72 EFL clubs who were tested as part of last week’s testing programme.
A twice-weekly Covid-19 mandatory testing programme is now in place for all clubs.
And today’s results were covering all tests undertaken from Monday 11 to Sunday January 18.
Colchester were one of 53 EFL clubs to return zero positive tests over this period.
Players or club staff who have tested positive will self-isolate in line with latest Government guidance.
Meanwhile, Colchester have announced that their League Two home clash with Scunthorpe United at the JobServe Community Stadium on Friday week will now kick off at 7pm.
