Plans in pipeline for Mistley summer festival

PLANS are in the pipeline for a village summer festival.
Jenine Collier, chairman of the Manningtree Chamber of Trade, said she has approached Mistley and Lawford parish councils and Manningtree Town Council in the hope of organising an event on Furze Hill, Mistley, next year.
She said: “I approached them after the success of the Jubilee and said that we should organise a bi-annual festival at Furze Hill in collaboration with the Business Chamber.
“The country is in a bit of a state at the minute and it’s down to the towns and parishes to pull together look out for themselves and choose their own destiny.”
