A YOUTH charity is celebrating after winning a £13,000 grant.
Teen Talk in Harwich has been given the money as part of Essex County Council’s Community Initiatives Fund.
They awarded part of a £120,000 to 13 organisations across the district.
The charity will now transform their workshop into a community room.
The workshop is currently used for arts and crafts and practical activities.
It is hoped it will be transformed into a meeting space which will allow more groups to become involved.
Emma Blaber, from the charity, said: “It is amazing – it is a huge chunk of money towards the project.
“We feel the community is really going to benefit from this.”
