THE gauntlet has been thrown down to make 2014 a healthier year.
Anglian Community Enterprise is looking for volunteer health champions whose challenge will be to become healthier - and encourage others as well.
Health trainers are health professionals who offer a free service to people wanting to make changes to their life to improve their health.
Sue Felgate, the lead for health improvement at ACE, said: “The health trainer service aims to support people, particularly those who do not access health services regularly of those who struggle to manage their lifestyle or long-term conditions, to make healthier choices and adopt healthier lifestyles."
No formal qualifications or specialist knowledge are needed but ACE is looking for anyone willing to undertake a training programme and then engage with others.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer health champion should contact Tricia Cox on 0843 507 3647.
