A PAINTER whose art is purely about the texture of paint will be the January and February exhibitor at the North House Gallery.
Felix Sefton Delmer, who went to both the Colchester Art School and The Royal College of Art, will display paintings at the Manningtree gallery from January 25.
His work is built up with many layers of paint to form a final surface. In his autobiography, Felix said: “Painting’s about paint; different paints, viscosity, pigment, color, method of application, support, surface.
“I am not interested in depicting anything.” The first exhibition, until February 22 at the North House Gallery on The Walls, will include a range of colours, while the second show, between February 23 and March 29, will focus on blues.
