EMERGENCY work to slash the speed at notorious danger junctions on the A120 will start within weeks.

The Highways Agency announced plans to introduce a temporary reduced speed limit of 50mph along with safety cameras near the Harwich Road, Park Road and Pellens Corner junctions in September 2013 and work is now expected to start in March.

Longer term plans are to install a roundabout at Little Bentley so to improve access onto the A120 and the Highways Agency will liaise with residents later this year to outline proposals and invite feedback.

Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin said: “I am absolutely thrilled this work is going to start."
