A COUNCIL is set to review its grant policy after turning down a primary school's call for cash to help fund a class trip.
Lawford Parish Council will assess the terms of its grants after concerns were raised over what requirements should be met by successful candidates.
Lawford Primary School, in Long Road, had asked for £385 towards the cost of a school coach trip.
But councillors at Monday's meeting said it was inappropriate to fund anything that would only serve one year group.
Chairman Alan Coley said: "We need to look at the terms on which we give any grants.
"There was a lot of discussion about how many Lawford residents this would benefit but we've granted money to the Manifest Theatre and the Methodist Church."
