THE number of passengers using Manningtree Station has surpassed a million as other stations in our area saw a decrease.
More than a hundred thousand more passengers passed through the station doors in 2012/13 compared with the previous year.
Harwich Town saw a drop of just under 20,000 passengers while Harwich International saw a drop of just over 3,000.
Dovercourt Station saw an increase from 137,188 in 2011/12 to 145,740 in 2012/13.
The data comes from the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR) which unveiled its latest statistics for the period April 2012 - March 2013.
