Harwich and Manningtree Standard: Parents slam teachers’ strike Parents slam teachers’ strike

PARENTS have hit out at a teacher strike which meant some schools could only partially open.

Three schools in Harwich and Manningtree suffered part closures on Wednesday after NUT members walked out in protest over changes to pay, pensions and working conditions.

Some 37 schools were closed across the county while 68 were partially closed.

Parent Nikki Smith said: "It affects the children and upsets parents."
