Harwich and Manningtree Standard: Struggling pub is put on the market Struggling pub is put on the market

A POPULAR pub has been put up for sale after being dubbed an unviable business by bosses.

The Kings Arms, in Dovercourt High Street has been put on the market by owners Punch Taverns for £275,000.

A spokesman for Punch Taverns said: “As a pub company we are not in the business of closing and selling pubs.

“Unfortunately after a small upgrade and review of our estate, the Kings Arms did not prove a viable business for us and we have considered how the property might better fulfill its potential within the local community.

“Then the commercial decision was made to market the pub for sale.”
