WE share some pictures of the crowds and cyclists at the final stage of the international Women's Tour.
Applause welcomed the start of the race at Dovercourt Swimming Pool as the professional cyclists sped off through the town towards the A120, where the real racing began.
Despite the rain, members of the Dovercourt Theatre Group donned their costumes, hoping to bring a flavour of the 1600s to the proceedings.
And Tendring Council chairman, Val Guglielmi, was given the honour of officially started stage five of the tour.
“It was an amazing experience,” she said.
