A DISPERSAL order aimed at excluding trouble-makers from Harwich and Dovercourt has been extended for another six months.

Tendring Council has agreed that the order should be extended until the end of December, after a request by Essex Police.

It gives officers the power to disperse groups of people if they believe their behaviour could harass or intimidate residents.

Once moved on the individuals can then be banned from the area for up to 24 hours.

The order covers Kingsway, Dovercourt Railway Station, Mill Lane, The Mayors Garden, Cliff Park Gardens, Harbour Crescent, Victoria Street, Dovercourt High Street, Marine Parade, Nelson Road, Milton Road and Barrack Lane.
