Council asked to name new road

First published in

A PARISH council has been asked to name come up with a name for a road which is being developed by the Affordable Housing Scheme.

Properties on land near Harwich Road in Mistley were given approval in 2011 and Mistley Parish Council have been offered the chance to name the new development.

Amongst the suggestions at a council meeting were Heathview Close, Heath Side or naming the road after soldiers in the area who lost their lives in the Second World War, however councillors agreed it would be wrong to single out just one person.

The council will display the issue for suggestions on their notice board and Tendring Council will have the final decision.
