INITIAL work to improve safety at accident blackspot junctions on the A120 has begun.
Last September the Highways Agency announced the speed limit on the road between Hare Green and Pellens Corner would be lowered to 50mph.
Speed cameras will be installed along the route to enforce the speed cut and work to improve visibility will also be carried out at the Park Road junction.
Advanced works, which are due to take two weeks, started on Wednesday and will be carried out overnight on weekdays between 8pm and 6am.
This will include installing electrical supply but no traffic restrictions will be in place.
Work to install the cameras along the 2.2 mile stretch is scheduled to take place throughout July and August and is likely to require carriageway closures.
Further details for this work will be announced at a later date.
