PUPILS got their walking boots on to help raise money for worthy projects at their school.
Each year youngsters from Manningtree High School take part in a ten-mile sponsored walk for cash to enrich their experience at school.
The money is put toward things such as paying for coaches to take pupils to sporting events and drama productions.
Some pupils and staff ran the course which goes from the school in Lawford to Dedham and back with each year group setting off at 15 minute intervals after that.
Assistant headteacher Martin Page said: “It went really well. We were ever so lucky with the weather and had only one shower for about five minutes."
