FIRE crews battled a bungalow fire in East Bergholt.
Firefighters in Essex alerted their Suffolk colleagues to the fire in Foxhall Close this afternoon at around 1.19pm.
Two engines from Ipswich were called and on arrival the crews found the property well alight and had affected the whole of the property and roof space.
Further units were called to the scene from Ipswich, Woodbridge, Holbrook and Colchester and two other properties either side were affected.
The fire was extinguished by 2.28pm and crews were stripping the roof tiles to dampen down any remaining fire spread.
UK Power Networks and National Grid Gas are both currently isolating services to the properties involved so crew can declare the scene safe.
Five appliances currently remain in attendance at the incident.
