YOUNGSTERS were given football top tips by a professional player during their summer holiday.
Former Colchester United player Kem Izzet gave the skills class at Mistley Kids Club.
Izzet got the kids taking part in football drills before they competed against each other in five-a-side matches.
This was the first time the kids club had organised the training sessions with another three taking place across the summer.
Matt Norton, from Mistley Kids Club, said: “It was really good and all the kids loved it as some of them already liked Colchester the club he used to play for.
“When he turned up they were all excited and came running over."
