UNSUNG heroes who keep their community safe will be honoured with a new award created by Nick Alston, the police and crime commissioner for Essex.
The Outstanding Contribution to Community Safety award aims to recognise individuals, volunteers and groups across the county who have delivered a project or scheme to improve safety of those around them.
Nominations can be sent by anyone who has benefited from or witnessed the efforts of the nominees and their work.
Any nominations can be sent to PCC for Essex, 3 Hoffmans Way, Chelmsford, CM1 1GU.
The deadline is 5pm on December 10.
