TOP-LEVEL talks are set to continue into the new year to move a struggling football club to a new site.
Harwich and Parkeston Football Club has held discussions with Tendring Council about moving from its Royal Oak ground to playing fields on Low Road, Dovercourt.
Chairman Tony Armstrong said: “There has been another meeting with Tendring Council, but nothing has been sorted or signed and we plan to have further talks in the new year.
“It is still the case that we would like to move down there, but we are discussing the feasibility of it and how it would impact on the clubs who are already based on Low Road.”
Last year the Standard revealed the two parties were discussing a deal to move the club close to Harwich and Dovercourt Rugby Club and Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club.
