CINEMAGOERS will get a taste of the famous Globe Theatre when a candlelit play is shown in Harwich next month.
The Electric Palace will be showing a production of the John Webster play The Duchess of Malfi.
It is the first Globe Theatre production to be filmed by candlelight and stars Gemma Arterton as the Duchess.
The production, which was filmed at the theatre last year, is being shown in cinemas across the country.
Mark Foster, CEO of Arts Alliance, which has brought the shows to the screen, said “We’re thrilled to be bringing Globe On Screen back to cinemas with such an exceptional line-up for 2015.”
The Duchess of Malfi will be shown at the Electric Palace on March 25 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12.50 from electricpalace.com.
