A HUNDRED year old village hall is set for a major transformation.
Around £5,000 will be spent on refurbishing the well-used building in Brantham in a bid to keep it running for the community.
Works will be carried out on the ceiling and windows along with paintwork and purchasing of new blinds and curtains.
The hall, in New Village, is currently used by a range of organisations including a majorettes club, an Irish dancing club, a theatre group and for dog training.
The village hall management committee has spent the last year fundraising for the project.
Sarah Keys, secretary of the committee, said: “An old hall like this takes a lot of upkeep, and so our small committee is working hard to make sure that we can keep the hall running for the people of Brantham, and looking its best."
