A MANNINGTREE charity shop has reopened after a major refurbishment.
About £15,000 was spent on transforming the Sue Ryder store in the town’s High Street.
The store, which was officially reopened on Friday, had to be closed for three weeks to allow the work to be carried out.
Ann Sanders, who volunteered at the shop for 22 years before retiring in December, cut the ribbon at the ceremony.
Manager Jennifer Miller said: “They gutted out the whole shop and did the back room, our working area and our office area. “ It was lovely to have Ann come back and it is nice to be open again.
“We have had really good sales since we reopened, which is good news. We are very well supported within the town and people had genuinely missed us. ”
The shop is looking for more volunteers. If you are interested, call into the shop or apply online at sueryder.org
