COLOURFUL cakes, hand-made hats and an Easter egg treasure hunt were just some of the fun on offer at Acorn Village.
The residential complex for adults with learning difficulties in Clacton Road, Mistley, hosted two days of activities to celebrate Easter.
A marquee was put up in the grounds to host the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Residents had spent hours before the day in craft classes designing and making special hats for a competition – top creations included the sorting hat from Harry Potter, a mermaid hat and the winning card hat by Harry McCay.
On Friday, Acorn Village hosted an Easter egg treasure hunt and challenge. Children scoured the walled garden looking for eggs.
The two events are thought to have raised about £500 for the charity.
