A VILLAGE council has seen only two of its former councillors re-elected.
Bradfield Parish Council is made up of nine councillors – seven of which were newly elected on Friday.
Harold Mousley, the former chairman, Richard Scott, former vice-chairman, Craig John Williamson and Glyn Graves all lost their seats.
Andrea Hale and Harry Woolrich had decided not to stand, meaning seven new councillors have been chosen to represent the village.
Mr Scott, said: “I am disappointed to lose my seat.
“There are a lot of new people, so I have offered to help them with knowledge on planning issues.
“The village was fed up with lots of building plans going through despite the council’s objections, so I think they were using their votes to show their feelings.
“The parish council has limited power and there will be a realisation with the new councillors about that.”
